Questions
What does it cost to run?
Electricity, and nothing else. No subscription, no account, no monthly fee. A machine in this class draws roughly 10 to 20 watts, so at Belgian rates expect a few euro a month.
Is it noisy?
There is a small fan, so it is not completely silent. It is quiet enough for an office or a living room shelf. If you want to forget it exists, put it in a cupboard or a utility room.
How long does the first sync take?
Downloading and verifying the entire chain takes about a day or two on a normal home connection. You start it once and leave it alone. After that it simply keeps up with each new block.
Do I need to be technical?
No. It is plug and play: power, ethernet, browser. Installing an app is one click. And if you do get stuck, you bought it from me, so call me and we get it running.
